The Ubiquiti airFiber AF-5XHD is a gigabit outdoor point-to-point radio device with extended range wireless connection. It contains a single GbE RJ45 networking interface and a passive PoE power approach. It includes a 24V, 1A PoE gigabit adapter with a voltage range of 18–54V DC. The device features an external GPS antenna with a magnetic base and a maximum power consumption of 12 W. Depending on the climatic circumstances, the device can reach a maximum throughput of 1+ Gbps and a maximum range of 100+ km while operating in PtP master/slave mode. To safeguard wireless data transfers, the device employs AES-256 encryption. Without GPS synchronization, the device has a frequency accuracy of 2.5 ppm and 0.2 ppm with GPS synchronization. The device has adjustable and programmable uplink and downlink duty cycles with channel bandwidths of 10/20/30/40/50/60/80/100 MHz. The device is small and sturdy, measuring 224 x 82 x 48 mm (8.82 x 3.23 x 1.89") and weighing 0.35 kg (0.77 lb). The device is compatible with both the airFiber X mount and the rocket mount. The bundle also includes a GPS pole mount. The device is weatherproofed to IP67, which protects it from dust and water penetration. The maximum TX power of the device is 29 dBm, depending on area laws. The device is CE, FCC, and IC certified, and it can work in temperatures ranging from -40 to 55 degrees Celsius (-40 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit).
